Projektbeschreibung
We are seeking a SQL Server Database Developer to take on a long term contract as part of a new operational programme in Spain. You will be contracting with an international technical group that specialises in providing information and communication technology services on a global basis. The successful SQL Server Developer will be responsible for all database activities including analysis, design, development and administration.
Responsibilities will include:
* Assist with the analysis, design, development, testing, initial support and transition into production of the areas enhanced
* Perform database design activities to support the overall software solution
* Implement, support and maintain enterprise database systems
* Participate in configuration, release, change, performance, availability and security management
* Perform database replications and updates
* Assist in software upgrades in coordination with application support and development team
* Provide database support and resolution of service call tickets escalated from the Service Desk, if requested
* Provide proper user access and rights, and maintain the database ensuring integrity and consistency of data and backup procedures
* Handle space requirements for physical databases through the monitoring of policies and procedures
* Ensure database management procedures adhere to established standards
* Provide statistical and management reports on the database and project activities
Skills Needed:
* Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2008, including database administration and SQL replication concepts
* Good knowledge of SQL Server ETL Scripting;
* Good knowledge of LDAP and IIS Servers;
* Good understanding of the Microsoft .NET Framework;
* Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or PRINCE 2 desirable
* Microsoft certification in database administration or related areas desirable
* Excellent English (both written and verbal) is required
* Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
This is an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of further extensions up to one year.
