Database Designer
- You design the most appropriate detailed database data model that meets the business requirements (tables and columns).
- You take the logical and physical choices of this logical model and determine the required physical storage parameters required to create the database with the expected business performances (primary keys, tables' relationships and normalization / denormalization).
- You document the implementation.
- You transfer the knowledge to the service and support team.
- You apply structure knowledge to solve problems, break down issues, and identify / implement solutions.
- You deploy the solution according the IS processes in place with a database administrator and test it with sample data.
- You cooperate with the functional analyst and the technical designer to understand the business requirements
- You report to the project manager
Expected Skills and experience:
- You have a strong experience in data modeling
- You have experience in application database design
- You have a thorough knowledge in relational databases and SQL queries
- You have a strong knowledge of the Oracle database technology.
- You can optimize implementations to improve the performances.
- You have a good knowledge of French or Dutch and are fluent in English (oral and written).
- You are self starter able to work proactively and work independently but also as a team player in complex project organizations.
- You are capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment
- You take particular attention to details and are rigorous in your work.
The following experiences will be an advantage:
- knowledge in project management methodologies (Agile / scrum in particular)
