For our banking client we are currently looking for a

Database Designer/Developer - Oracle

Start date: 01.07.2017

Duration: 6 months

Location: Zurich

We are looking for a lead database expert ideally with Knowledge in Risk Methodologies and Strategies.

Your tasks:

- Database Designer/Developer (Oracle) for several Risk applications (so-called monitoring systems, calculators and others).
- Provide database services and components (Oracle) to several risk applications

The ideal candidate shall bring:

- University degree in Engineering
- Professional EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST 10 YEARS or more
- In - depth experience in high volume and high performance, scalable DATABASE DESIGN experience is essential
- Very good analytical and design skills and the ability to grasp complex business or technical issues in a structured and efficient manner
- Experience in logical and physical Datamodelling
- Excellent knowledge of SQL AND PL/SQL
- Good experience with Tools such as TOAD and POWER DESIGNER
- Skilled in tuning, debugging and troubleshooting of PL/SQL
- Experience as DBA would be advantageous
- Knowledge of UNIX (Linux)
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Experience in the area of Risk IT is an advantage
- Experience working in the banking area
