Database Designer and Administrator

We are working with a Federal Government organisation to source a Database Designer/Administrator for an initial 12 month period. Several extension options available.

We are limited to being able to submit only 3 candidates for this role.

DUTIES:

- A demonstrated background as a Database Administrator in large corporations or Government agencies
- Extensive experience in DB2 on Mainframe, Unix and Windows. Experience in Oracle and SQL Server in large scale implementations.

SKILLS:

- Must have the ability to provide expert technical advice on a range of database issues including best practice, licensing and performance etc.
- You must have a high level of communication skills enabling meaningful explanation of technical concepts to senior team members
- You must be able to work within a team to deliver well researched and pragmatic solutions to complex database issues.
