Database Architect

DESCRIPTION:

The Database Architect is responsible in designing, documenting, and presenting complex solutions for new and existing customers specifically focused on Oracle Engineered Systems, Oracle DB, Middleware and service offerings. The role requires experience in development and design of Exadata database strategies, system monitoring and improving Exadata database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements. They may also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database within Exadata.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10 years of experience with Oracle databases including hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database solutions
- 2-3 years of industry experience as an Oracle Database Architect with a strong understanding of infrastructure
- 10 years of core DBA Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in Engineering Systems Experience eg Exadata, Exalogic
- Oracle Engineered Systems Architecture
- Exadata Setup and Configuration
- Migration to Engineered System and Consolidation
- High Availability, MAA and DR: Real Application Clusters & Active Data Guard
- Database Installation, Configuration and Patching including RAC and OEM
- Database Performance Tuning
- Database Security, Encryption, Compression and Data Masking/Redaction
- Backup and Recovery, Data Pump and SQL*Loader
- Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Controldevelops written communications to address varied styles and information needs (Communication).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
- Three or more years of experience in technical analysis and design, preferably within a consulting environment
- One to two years of relevant experience in a particular technical specialty area included
- Experience working with software, hardware, data and testing standards
- Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures
