We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to focus on Data Processing, Repository Development, Management and Analytics of wearable sensor data. Successful candidate to work as part of a rapid business innovation team to develop next-generation wearable sensor applications working closely with a multiple business groups across the organization. This position will focus on the design, creation, processing, management and analytics of data repositories that derive intelligent insights and support data science and analytics needs. Core programming work will be in Python.

THE CANDIDATE:

- Develops NoSQL (HDF5, MongoDB, etc.) fast data models and repositories to support rapid prototyping and machine learning analytics flow creation
- Uses algorithms and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform agile experimentation and builds data driven services to translate data into intelligence
- Uses predictive modelling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data
- Contributes to the design and implementation of innovative, pioneering data-driven insights to solve complex business process optimization challenges via Data driven decisions
- Works to prototype solutions during Research and Development phases
- Envisions, shares and articulates modelling
- Understands and works around possible limitations in models
- Develops hypotheses and tests them via controlled experiments
- Develops extensible, scalable, reliable software for high volume, Real Time and batch data processing

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, and optimization of algorithms
- Data Engineering principles and competency required
- Working knowledge of NoSQL database technology (HDF5, and Python Interfaces), and basic fluency with relational databases and SQL
- Strong proficiency in: Python and Core Libraries: Panda
