Database Administrator, Snr - Oracle

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR with senior level experience to work alongside an Oracle Designer for around 8 - 10 weeks (initially this was for 3 weeks!).

Commercial global organisation as such, no selection criteria is required.

Immediate start, though for the right person we may be able to wait for a week.

Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills as you will be representing the company on one of their most valuable client sites in Canberra.

Use your outstanding skills as an Oracle DBA:

- Database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Application tuning and performance monitoring.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
- Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
- Do general technical troubleshooting and give cons.
- Database recovery.
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Database server software and related products.
- Evaluate Database features and Database related products.
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Take care of elements of database design and implementation.
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
