Database Administrator Job

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Seattle, WA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Sybase ASE database administration
- Database design, analysis and performance tuning
- Development in MS SQL Server 2008 and 2012

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work with developers to ensure that database changes and solutions are well designed
- Administer the Dev and QA database environments.
- Maintain the master databases used by Dev and QA teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience developing in and administering Sybase ASE (including Cluster Edition), Sybase IQ and Replication Server.
- Experience developing in and administering MS SQL Server 2008 and 2012.
- Very strong database development skills including good database design, analysis and performance tuning concepts.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Understanding the concepts of Agile and Scrum are a big plus.
