Database Administrator Job

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The client is looking for someone to build a SQL database for the log messages for their medical device.- we are running automated reliability cycling 24/7, these are the logs generated during the run.
- This individual would need to index, group, query and report certain information, to learn how many shots we took, how often did we have a crash, boot failure, etc. but currently it takes too much time
- This individual will to optimize, accelerate data mining, query and web-based reporting.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three (3+) years Administration experience using a major DBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, dBASE, or IBM DB2.
- Two (2+) years SQL Server 2008 (or more recent) administration experience.
- One (1+) years SQL Server Integration Services (or equivalent) experience.
- Experience setting up a complete database, including designing, implementing, and documenting the schema (tables, views, stored procedures, and so on), after analysing user requirements.
- Experience in modifying an existing database schema to accommodate changing user needs.
- Experience implementing and documenting manual and automated administrative database tasks such as automated database backups, email and SMS job notifications.
- Able to work with and advise engineers on best practices for efficient incoming and outgoing database data flow.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- C# experience
- .NET database programming experience
- Experience working with Web frameworks such as ASP.NET, PHP, Java, ColdFusion, etc.
