Database Administrator III

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR III to join our client in OVERLAND PARK, KS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Database Administrator III leads the design, configuration and implementation of the DBMS.
- The candidate performs capacity evaluations and plans maintenance cycles.
- The candidate also works with business owners to identify business needs and communicates them back to his/her team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Two to three (2 - 3) years of experience in IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of Microsoft SQL Server experience, specifically experience with data warehouse design and implementation.
- Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments.
- Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.
- Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
- Technical documentation skills.
- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills and able to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- SQL Server 2008 Enterprise - V 10.
- SQL Server Analysis Services 2008.
- SQL Server Integration Services 2008.
- SQL Server Reporting Services 2008.
- Working knowledge of Control-M, Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client, and VShell (SFTP).
- Database Administration, Tuning, Management, and Security.
- Knowledge of Tableau is a bonus.
- MCITP: Database Administrator 2008.
