Database Administrator II

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for a DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR II to join our client, located in EMERYVILLE, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for first level support of the Vaccines and Diagnostics Global Laboratory Information Management System (GLIMS).
- Provide system administration and maintenance of validated GLIMS applications so as to provide quality in the management of test data in the Diagnostics.
- Provide first level support for GLIMS: Build (as necessary) and maintain GLIMS templates of Diagnostics products for release and stability, raw materials, microbiology and environmental monitoring.
- Maintain CofA program reports of Diagnostics products.
- Maintain Diagnostics validated GLIMS report programs.
- Create/revise SOPs for GLIMS.
- Assist in the development of training manuals and user documentation.
- Provide GLIMS training to users.
- Provide GLIMS application support responsibilities: Create and maintain user accounts per SOP. Work with IT to administer application and database Servers.
- Resolve GLIMS issues by providing technical assistance and working with LIMS vendor and IT. Provide first-level response for GLIMS system support and troubleshooting.
- Support GLIMS change control: Initiate and evaluate GLIMS change request per SOP.
- Perform GLIMS validation testing per testing protocol.
- Investigate and resolve LIMS deviations.
- Performs trending and data analysis as needed to support Diagnostics Quality Control and Technology Operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in technical sciences preferred.
- At least one (1) year experience in a regulated GMP laboratory with three (3) years LIMS administration experience.
- Sound and practical judgment in the interpretation and application of regulations and laboratory standards.
