Database Administrator (DBA) Job

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Diego, CA.

- Database Administration (DBA)
- SQL Server experience
- Object Oriented Programming

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Install and Configure database components as well as ensure databases access, database consistency, and integrity.
- Respond to and resolve User database access.
- Implement and maintain change control processes for modifications to databases.
- Perform database transactions and security audits.
- Maintain Disaster Recovery systems.
- Document Installation and configuration of databases components.
- Develop working experience with developers and guide them through Database implementation procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA Experience, some development skills needed to optimize queries.
- Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 administration in a clustered environment.
- Experience with SSIS for ETL loading
- Windows 2000/2003/2008 knowledge
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
