We are looking for a Database Administrator for our client in the banking sector.
Project language: Dutch & English (French is an asset)
Project start: 1-1-14
Project duration: 1 year
Project location: Berchem (Antwerp)
We are looking for an experienced and technical strong database aministrator. Your responsibillity will be administration of the databases and cooperation with the Database Team regarding exploitation and management of the data. In doing so you will translate the client's needs to the database architecture. You'll also advise developers about new applications and make sure updates are carried out.
Profile:
Experience in administration of Mainframe databases, especially DB2 and IMS
Define & describe DB-standards, new functionalities
Define & describe DBA-processes (monitoring, backup & recovery, model-changes )
Build new infrastructure
Build new releases (images)
Evaluate and prepare patches
Involvement in non-standard DB-requests
Relationshipmanagement international contacts
3rd level support
Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of DB2 (v10) and IMS (v12)
CA-tools (CA r16) for database administration
Practical knowledge of Mainframe environment
Assets:
Oracle
SQL Server
SAS
BRIO
