JOB DESCRIPTION:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008,
- Oracle 11,
- Sybase ASE 15.x,
- Sybase Replication Server 15.x
- Advanced knowledge of Shell Scripting (ksh) and/or Perl
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor and maintain infrastructures for all customers in EMEA and Asia, and work with vendors to resolve issues.
- Take internal escalations.
- Mentoring and working as part of a close knit team
- Demonstrate leadership in attitude and demeanor
- Troubleshoot issues and work with internal customers to effectively resolve them
- Produce effective analysis on solutions
- Be involved in pre-implementation and support of new applications.
- Works infrastructure tasks and tickets.
- Plans, implements, and supports database infrastructure including out-of-hours on-call support.
- Stays current with emerging technologies related to respective technology domain.
- Works closely with other BAI and Operate teams
- Work with the Global counter-parts to create, implement and maintain best practices
- Execute regularly required maintenances for patches and upgrades, etc
