Next Ventures are currently hiring for a Database Administration Specialist for a 6 month project based in Geneva, Switzerland

Duration - 6 months + extensions
Location - Geneva, Switzerland
Rate - upto 65CHF per hour all inclusive.
Language - English

A Database Administration Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the database infrastructure for EMEA and Asia to ensure 24x7 up time. This is a multi-platform, complex, geographically dispersed solution, for production and DR. We are also involved in many projects and initiatives globally and have a fast paced dynamic environment.

Requirements/Role:
- Solid experience on most or all of the following products:

o Microsoft SQL Server 2008,
o Oracle 11,
o Sybase ASE 15.x,
o Sybase Replication Server 15.x
- Advanced knowledge of Shell Scripting (ksh) and/or Perl
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
- Part of a close team of up to 6 Database Administration Specialists
- Supporting Production, UAT, SIT and Development environments for a broad range of applications
- Touching multiple database platforms (Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2)
