Data Warehousing Architect - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Data Warehousing Architects within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver solution designs and data models for BI projects;
- Promote, support and apply the architectural and strategic direction for the BI Platform;
- Maintain and ensure BI project compliance with principles, standards and guidelines in the areas of data, process, presentation, security and infrastructure;
- Provide technical advice to project teams and senior management; and
- Provide guidance and leadership to team members including mentoring team members and developing internal capability.

SKILLS:

- Extensive experience (5+ years) in Business Intelligence software development;
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing architectures including: 3NF modelling; Dimension modelling including solution design; Temporal data management;
- Awareness of Master Data Management concepts and practice;
- Extensive experience using Erwin or similar Datamodelling tool;
- Dimensional solution design experience;
- Database design and implementation experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- IT degree or relevant experience preferred.
