Data Warehouse Tech Analyst - Insurance - Brussels (Contract)

A leading Insurance company based in BRUSSELS seeks a DATA WAREHOUSE TECHNICAL ANALYST to work on a GREENFIELD PROGRAM which will focus on developing and extending a DATA WAREHOUSE based on SAS.

Therefore it is essential that all applicants have good knowledge of MAINFRAME AND COBOL TECHNOLOGIES and strong DATA WAREHOUSE background. Where you will be based in BRUSSELS you must also be fluent (spoken and written) in DUTCH OR FRENCH.

As this is a DATA WAREHOUSE TECHNICAL ANALYST position you will be expected to perform the following duties on a day to day basis -

- work closely with the business
- capture the requirements for data analysis
- describe and model data
- set-up the solution basis for data analysis and support the business

You will also be liaising with a number of key stakeholders and separate business functions within the organisation, this is where your DWH and SAS knowledge will be utilised.

ESSENTIAL

- experience in DATA WAREHOUSE ANALYSIS
- Proven background in INSURANCE business or equivalent

(Financial/Banking/...)

- FLUENT (written and spoken) in EITHER FRENCH OR DUTCH
- IT knowledge - including SQL, EXCEL etc - BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS experience

DESIRABLE

- Knowledge of ERWIN DESIGNER
- Knowledge of COBOL
- Knowledge of SAS DATA INTEGRATION
- Knowledge of EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OR HEALTHCARE BUSINESS
