12 Month Contract - 3 Year Programme - Based in Dublin
My client, a leading telecoms organisation URGENTLY requires a Data Warehouse Support Lead/ETL Support Engineer to be responsible for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The Lead Data Warehouse Support Engineer/ETL Support Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of 4, to analyse and resolve the Data Warehouse load and data issues on production. The Data Warehouse Support Lead/ETL Support Engineer will be an excellent incident manager, the excellent communication skills and a natural ability to think on their feet.
The role:
- Work with Business and Delivery teams to resolve their concerns and answer queries related to DWH
- Monitor DWH support ticket queue
- Assist offshore with analysis and resolution DWH support issues
- Plan and raise change requests for production deployment of defect fixes
- Review deliverables prior to deployment into production
- Review and keep support related documents up to date
- Provide weekly status report to the Data management team and to customer management team
- Conduct monthly review meetings with business (MIS analysts)
- Proactively identify areas of improvements (process/technical) in order to improve support services
- Ensure communication channel between DWH support team and customer teams (Business and other operations) are effective
- Adherence to DWH ticket and DWH load SLA
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience in IT.
- About 3-5 years of experience in DWH domain, developing and supporting star schema, DWH ETL processes and PL/SQL.
- About 18 months
- 3 years of working experience in Informatica ETL tool, Teradata database.
- Expertise in UNIX, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
- Good communication skills and be able to perform client coordination role by interacting closely with the client and the offshore team
- Good project documentation skills
