Data Warehouse MI Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to be part of a team of MI specialists within the Change Planning and MI team.

The key focus for the role will be to support the delivery of the Simplification programme, through interrogation and manipulation of data extracts from sources such as the Group Data Warehouse (GDW) and other internal databases.

The simplification programme is playing a key part of helping to become the best bank for customers by delivering truly end to end process changes and new customer self service tools. The programme is a combination of multiple workstreams delivering over 100 individual initiatives, all of which will require supporting Management Information to ensure successful targeting, delivery and embedding of key criteria.

Additional Information
Occasional travel within the UK will be required.

Key accountabilities
The role requires you to be a data specialist with strong technical skills and experience of Retail business data. The role will entail:

* Extracting and manipulating data from GDW using Teradata SQL or SAS, in order to supply reports to business users.
* Working with sponsors and stakeholders to help shape and agree requirements, helping to translate business requirements into data extracts and reports.
* Investigating and sourcing new data
* Creating automated code in order to reduce the manual intervention required to produce regular reporting.
* Owning delivery of agreed data, ensuring business needs are met on time, to agreed quality.
* Supporting the wider MI team activities, sharing knowledge and ensuring BAU activities are completed.

Technical skills, ideally with experience of extracting data from GDW, are essential for this role.

An advantage will also be given to candidates who have experience with Excel or VBA.
