Data Warehouse (DWH) Test Consultant

Our client, a Financial Services company, are currently seeking a Data Warehouse (DWH) Tester for a long term project in Zurich, Switzerland. This is a contract opportunity till the end of the year and is starting immediately.

The successful DWH Tester will be responsible for:

- Test planning
- Test scenario creation
- Test case documentation
- Test result documentation
- End to End and ETL Data Warehousing testing
- Writing, executing and debugging SQL queries to validate data completeness, correctness, Data
- Transformation and Data Quality testing
- Preparing DHW and SQL routines/code for DWH testing (system/integration test)
- Team member to be involved in the coordination & communication regarding the testing

The successful Data Warehouse Tester will have the following experience:

- 5 years minimum of DWH development and test experience
- Financial Industry experience a must
- German (fluent spoken & written) as documentation is in German
- English (fluent spoken & written)
- ISTQB certified
- Test coordination and Test management experience

The nice to have skills for this role:

- Excellent Quality Assurance QA Skills (Test Desig, planning, Scripting)
- Excellent Database Skills - must be able to write very complex SQL queries as well as SQL scripts
- Excellent UNIX knowledge
- Professional experience with QuickTest Pro QTP
- Proficient Quality Center user
- Batch job execution in UNIX
- Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Performance testing of Web based applications
- VBA and Sybase power designer (advantage)
