DATA WAREHOUSE DESIGNER, DATA MODELLOR (FINANCIAL/BANKING) - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
Languages: ENGLISH with FRENCH and/or DUTCH
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN:
- Insurance industry modelling
- Insurance solution design
- Conceptual/Logical and. Physical Modelling
- Data warehouse modelling approaches like 3 Normal Form, Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault
- Ability to make the distinction between a theoretical & practical model/Design
- WAREHOUSE MODELLING CONCEPTS:
- Bus Matrix
- Fact vs. Dimension
- Type1/Type2 Slowly Changing Dimensions
- Fact Loading Strategies (Transaction/Snapshot/Aggregating)
- Delta Loading
- Knowledge of other methodologies, and services approaches are considered an asset.
- Experience in an agile delivery environment.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Collaborative Datamodelling for the existing and new data warehouse and data integration layer.
- Collaborative solution design primarily for the new data warehouse and data integration layer.
- Set-up & maintain the Datamodelling and solution design under version control.
- Share the knowledge within and outside the team proactively.
- Align the work with the business needs whilst taking into account the best practices within and outside the industry.
