Projektbeschreibung

A direct Madison Client intends to procure contracted services for one (1) position as a Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence ETL Architect/Analyst to help with data integration and reporting needs analysis, solution development in the form of out of the box reports, custom reports, data marts and Business Intelligence dashboards for management and executives.

The anticipated duration of this engagement is 12 months, with possible extensions. The consultant should be prepared to start by mid-September 2015 and will be required to work full-time, on site in Madison, WI.

The Client will be pushing forward on a number of initiatives that will require diligent project management oversight and technical data analysis and Business Intelligence and analytics support.

The immediate need is to support the development of Business Intelligence solutions to meet user needs for the new ERP - Workday - implementation, which includes:

- Design and Develop ETL's for integrating Workday data with enterprise data.
- Data warehousing skills including data profiling, data cleansing and master data management.
- Assessing the available Out of the Box solution options present within Workday.
- Assessing both day-to-day transactional and long-term decision-support reporting needs.
- Working with the project team and Workday vendor staff to develop appropriate, multi-use, configurable solutions.
- Working with the Data Warehouse team to develop long-term solutions, tying Workday data to other data sets of interest.
- Providing guidance and direction to internal data warehouse staff as well as development staff in meeting both Workday and non-Workday solution needs.
- Developing and establishing operational processes for data, information, Business Intelligence and report management.
- Archiving the Legacy PeopleSoft HR & FIN ERP data for future reporting and decommissioning the two PeopleSoft Applications

These activities require the candidate to operate independently, critically think and provide leadership, quality assurance, alignment to vision/mission and follow-through on solutions to completion.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS
THIS ASSIGNMENT MINIMALLY REQUIRES:

- An in-depth ability and knowledge of Data Warehousing and Reporting.
- An in-depth ability and knowledge of Data Warehouse Design and Development, including Data Modeling and ETL Development.
- An in-depth ability and knowledge of (1) gather requirements, (2) assess end user needs, (3) evaluate and recommend solution options and (4) implement solutions.
- Willing to commit to the project timeline of about 12 months with possible extensions.
- Must be able to commit to work onsite in Madison, WI for a 40-hour work period.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Data Reporting
- Strong Architectural knowledge in Data Management and Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence design and development.
- Strong requirements development (facilitation) and design skills in Business Intelligence solutions.
- Preferences for strong solution development knowledge using Workday, Cognos or PeopleSoft reporting tools and ETL's tools including Data Manager, IBM Data Stage, MicroSoft SSIS or any industry standard.
- Strong Project Management abilities.
- Strong Leadership abilities.
- Strong data, application and integration technical skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Well-developed skills with Visio, MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experienced working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex tasks.
- Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both technical and functional audiences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assess needs for data/information.
- Work independently with management and staff to facilitate, assist and guide them to identify solution options.
- Communicate with project teams, vendor and technical staff on user needs and solution designs.
- Follow through with teams to ensure consistent solutions and continuous improvement.
- Design and develop/build/implement integrated, lasting and multi-use solutions to accommodate data integration between systems.
- Communicate on status to management and teams.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

- 4 - 7 years of skills as a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Architect/Designer/Developer.
- 5 - 7 years of skill as an ETL developer/designer.
- 3 - 5 years of skills as a data, application and/or integration architect.
- 2+ years of skills in application development/programming in Java, .NET or equivalent.
- 2+ years analytical problem solving, business analyst, requirements development experience.
