Data Warehouse/BI Developer

THE ROLE:

This very busy project team has a current requirement for two data and reporting specialists to assist in creating strong reporting capacity for the team into the future.

The role will see you working with a variety of stakeholders in a technical and non-technical capacity and so strong communication and liaison skills will be key.

Initial contract will be for an immediate start through to June 2015, however there is also the strong possibility of extension.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Development and documentation of business focused data warehouse queries, analytics and reporting solutions
- Solution design and architecture definition
- Logical, physical and dimensional data models
- ETL, datamarts and cubes
- Developing alternate data solution designs, facilitate the selection of a solution, and ensure the usability of the solution
- Ensuring all reporting and data requirements are fulfilled by the technical design solution
- Data profiling, quality analysis and remediation to ensure the quality of BI output
- Analysis and identification of data integration opportunities where possible and ongoing development of conformed dimensions to be used across the warehouse
- Formal development methodologies and processes, version control, change management.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Extensive demonstrated experience with Oracle, SAS and Business Intelligence tools in a data warehouse environment essential
- Demonstrated experience in the development and documentation, at an architectural level, of the various elements of a Business Intelligence solution
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and schema issues and develop innovative, business focused analytics and reporting solutions
