Data Warehouse Architect

The Purpose of the Data warehousing Architect is to assist with a program of work to enhance the targeting and analytics capability of the Department and to Undertake a range of enhancement activities to improve the timeliness of information provision, increase the available information holdings and improve report performance. To enable the implementation of an Enterprise data model view of a given entity across all interactions within the Service and in line with the strategic change programs outlined.

Core Deliverables would be

- Design and implement improvements to the EDW Architecture.
- Providing high level technical expertise in the Teradata platform and integration with other systems/Project deliverables.
- Develop the data and information architecture layers to support the overall target model
- Define detailed architecture patterns and principles to inform project solutions to ensure they are developed in accordance with the target model
- Work with the Enterprise Business, Applications and Infrastructure Architects to deliver enterprise solutions
- Work with technical delivery teams to ensure compliance to the agreed architecture
- Developing Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence Warehouse strategies and designs
- Development of the Enterprise Data Model (EDM)
- Logical Datamodelling
- Physical Datamodelling
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in global distributed computing environments
- Perform advisory role on complex projects
- Liaise with project managers, developers, vendors, senior managers and clients to ensure requirements are met

Security Clearance of Baseline is highly desirable.
