Data Warehouse Architect

This large healthcare sector client is currently seeking a Senior Technical Architect to work with them at their Central London Offices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the definition of the architectural strategy for data warehouses and guide product development in implementing this through specific project initiatives. They will ensure that the appropriate design patterns and standards are used in Data Warehouse developments and establish key governance around architectural issues.

Where necessary, they will lead or co-own the physical design deliverables with project team development leads and will provide design support and consultancy to project application architects, design leads and developers during the development lifecycle. In addition they will provide high-level architecture, logical data models and patterns for specific projects.

Candidate Requirements

* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Senior developer or project leader level experience, or similar consulting experience working on large scale database applications or warehousing initiatives
* Governance/Technical Design Authority experience
* Experience with design patterns (Microsoft Enterprise Patterns / test Patterns)
* Experience in VLDB with heavy use of ETL tools and multiple sources of data
* Very strong logical and physical data modelling skills
* Expertise in the UML for constructing and documenting the artefacts of software system using design tools.
* Demonstrable expertise with relational technologies: specifically Oracle and/or SQL Server
