Data Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DATA TECHNICIAN to join our client in Allentown, PA. This temporary/contract position is for the duration of approximately 12 months.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Pay Range: Up to $24.11 per hour.
- Assignment hours: 7:45 am - 4:30 pm
- Travel to domestic operating plant site is required. The amount of travel is anticipated to be 15-30%.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- High Temperature Materials and Engineering Center (HTMEC).
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and cataloguing of mechanical equipment and piping data as it relates to the construction, operation, and maintenance of high temperature Steam Methane Reformer (SMR)/HyCO systems.
- Developing required data categories through interface with engineering, maintenance, and operating staffs to anticipate future stakeholder needs.
- Collecting and cataloguing data required to complete category inventory through document and database review, interviews, or individual interface with key data providers/engineers.
- Building and maintaining data and reference document systems to support HTMEC activities.
- Interfacing with the HTMEC share site owner to collaborate on preferred methods to capture and retrieve information for future use.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree in a technical/scientific field.
- Exceptional computer/IT skill especially in the use of Excel and databases.
- An interest in mining data and in the development of systems to be used to access data.
- Experience in interacting with a wide range of industry professionals including engineers, operators, maintenance technicians, and IT specialists.
- Exceptional communication skills are required.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience in field inspection, maintenance, operation, or construction in an industrial capacity is preferred.
