Data Technical Writer

My client a leading Queensland employer is looking for a Data Technical Writer to join their team on an initial 3 month contract role with possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical writer services for the Oracle, Ingres and Sybase services and associated software including development, maintenance and enhancement activities to meet my client's needs.

To be considered for the role you must have:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical writer documenting complex material in a way that can be easily understood by a non-technology savvy audience.
- Strong written communication skills
- The ability to identify, and liaise with, subject matter experts to elicit and document information
- Experience creating diagrams using MS Visio
- Experience in taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work within tight timeframes
- Experience in working collaboratively with a diverse team including IT technical specialists to achieve successful outcomes for a project.
- It would be desirable for candidates to have some experience using Microsoft SharePoint to document information on an Intranet team site.
