Data Steward / Data Analyst - £250 - 300 Per day - Berkshire - Contract

My client, a large UK organisation in the Environmental/Government sector is in need for a talented and enthusiastic Project Manager to join them on an initial 3-6 month contract with a view to extend.

The Role
To provide assistance to the Chief Data Steward in assuring the quality of the data in Source Systems & the Central Master Database, ensuring that action to implement required improvements is planned and executed correctly.
Supports the monitoring and assessment of compliance Information & Technology for projects. Monitors and assesses compliance of standards - develops and communicates data standards and quality metrics.
Provides guidance and works with business owners and Information Asset Owners to create new Data Governance Standards and modify existing standards.
Supports the Chief Data Steward in preparing for Data Governance discussions and meetings.
Performs initial business /data analysis of issues and requests for change and present to the data governance council.
Liaises with individual systems' data stewards to understand cross subject area data quality impacts and dependencies.
Gathers and provides supporting information for completion of RFC and impact assessment when a new standard or issue requires data, system or process changes.

Skills Required
Self starter, able to work upon their own initiative. An enthusiastic individual who will drive forward the quality improvement and wider data cleanse activity as a champion of data quality for customer information.
Able to apply previous experience and acquire quickly a broad understanding of key needs and initiatives and strong understanding of the clients data governance framework.
Logical / analytical thinker. Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organisation.
Good planning and organisation skills demonstrating an ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Firsthand experience of working in business Operations environment and dealing with customer information.
Broad understanding of information management processes and technologies
Able to develop quickly knowledge of current and future information requirements of the client and business trends across government.

Change Management, Project Management, ISO Standards, Business & Data Analysis, TOGAF
