Je functie: Data Specialist
The Data specialist will work in the IT Department to support ongoing projects and operational DBA/BI activities. As the organisation is medium sized, the candidate shall have a broad range of skills covering both the technical DBA, Application DBA and the BI domains.
Key Activities & experience
-Have a broad knowledge about the physical design of databases, the performance tuning (how to define indexes, tuning, partioning, ...)
-Have a broad knowledge about the overall maintenance of databases. (schedule jobs, ...), recovery, and handling failover
-Defining technical design specifications, write SISS jobs to import and export data.
-Write T-SQL SP's and Queries to manipulate the data, need to understand the SQL Server concepts and write, Optimize the stored procedures and T-SQL queries as needed.
-Microsoft Application DBA activities.
-Experience with Power Pivot, Power view, SSRS, SSAS.
-Experience with developing using the SharePoint BI Integration.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Debug, tune and optimize report and Stored Procedures performance.
-Analyze and modify existing reports as per change requests.
-Effectively communicate with other team members to exchange information, ideas and answer inquiries.
-Develop a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing and encourages innovation.
-Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff to exchange information, ideas, and answer inquiries.
-Develop clear and concise insights, implications and recommendations, thinking and acting strategically.
Je profiel: Requirements & Qualifications
-Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other related discipline with 3-5 year of Information Technology experience.
-3+ years of database modelling and tuning
-3+ years of data warehouse experience is required.
-3+ years of Data Modeling and tuning experience and documenting the ETL process experience is required.
-3+ years of SSIS and ETL experience is required.
-3+ years of Microsoft BI is required.
-Working experience with Power Pivot, Power View is required.
-1+ years of Sharepoint.
-Strong advanced SQL writing skills (transaction, definition and control functions) and relational database knowledge (tables, keys, dimensional models, etc.), preferably with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012 Database and Analysis Services engines, is required.
