DATA SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

The purpose of this position is to support various manual access management activities to support standard access management process for our very large enterprise client.

The ideal candidate for position will be a proactive and self-motivated professional who will work with other team members to manage access controls for key information resources residing on multiple platforms on Linux and Solaris. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of Information Technology Security (ie in UNIX Systems Administration) and have a strong knowledge of access management practices involving various platforms.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Bachelors degree in computer management, information security or equivalent job experience
- CISSP, CISA, CISM and other comparative information security certifications are preferred
- 5 to 7 years computer security experience required
- 5 to 7 years in UNIX operating system administration experience
- 3-5 years of Access Controls Audit experience

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

- Strong knowledge of security risk management concepts and its application in the area of Access Management
- In-depth knowledge in the Access Management of multiple operating systems (Unix - Solaris, AIX, zLinux and Linux, Windows)
- In-depth working knowledge of Access Management life cycle and processes
- In-depth knowledge of the administration of Active Directory and Unix Enterprise Directory
- In-depth knowledge in UNIX and Linux korn/bash Shell Scripting, MS Windows Visual Basic Scripting
- General database SQL knowledge
- Familiarity with TPAM
- Strong knowledge of computer development software, such as Oracle Identity Manager
- Experience in Auditing all aspects of Access Control processes and procedures
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
- Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results
- Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Strong knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, agency rules and the democratic political process
- Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
- Demonstrated urgency in completing assigned tasks
- Good working ethics and accountability for assigned tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage access life cycle ie provisioning, de-provisioning, access revalidations.
- Set up user access using SSH Keys authentication
- Analyze and audit all aspects of access control processes and procedures for Mergerscoordinate access management related audit and compliance tasks, such as user access reporting and other relevant research and investigation
- Work with numerous internal technical teams to drive the Access Control Integration tasks
- Perform User Access Revalidations on the various aspects of access to ensure orphaned access are timely remove
- Lead project-based activities for Information Security Department Access Controls to provide access management business requirements and ensure timeliness of project deliverables
- Complete the periodic access control processes to ensure compliance against Key Controls requirements
- Formulate the technical details for reporting to senior management
