Data Scientist Job

DATA SCIENTIST for Supply Chain Analytics needed for a eight (8) month+ contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Creve Coeur, MO 63167

What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, create and implement optimization models to support supply chain business processes including planning, production, logistics and customer service.
- Research current process and emerging needs for analytic models, data inputs & outputs, analytic metrics, and user interface needs
- Identify and document sources and flows of business data used in analytic models. Identify data quality issues, potential data governance approaches and process improvements.

What You Need To Bring To The Table:
- Skills in analytic modelling environments such as CPLEX/ODME, Gurobi, or R.
- Skills in manipulating data for analytics using tools such as Excel, Oracle, Teradata and SQL.
- Familiarity with using analytics to support decisions in Supply Chain such as Demand Forecasting, Production Planning and Scheduling, Distribution Requirements Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory Management, and Network Optimization.
- BS/BA degree, preferably in statistics, engineering, economics or supply chain.
- Experience in statistics or econometric modelling such as time series, partial equilibrium, and almost ideal demand system
- Experience developing analytic models in tools such as R, SAS, SPSS
- Experience in predictive modelling algorithms such as multi-variate regression, neural networks, support vector machines, clustering, and Bayesian statistics

Bonus Points:
- Six Sigma or Lean certification - Supply Chain certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP or SCOR
- Worked with linear programming and stochastic optimization with tools such as CPLEX or Gurobi
- Master or PhD in engineering, statistics, agricultural economics, or supply chain
