Data Scientist- Intermediate Job

DATA SCIENTIST- INTERMEDIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CHESTERFIELD, MO

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Requires achievement of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
- Two to five (2-5) years of previous experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Design, implement and optimize algorithms for unsupervised and supervised learning based on structured and unstructured data.
- Develop powerful business insights from social, marketing, industrial data and public policy using advanced machine learning techniques.
- Work closely with the software engineering team to productize analytic software.
- Collaborate with system integration and data warehouse engineers on data extraction and data cleaning.
- Work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment.
- You will work closely with other data scientists on the team to develop methodologies of predictive modelling.
- You need a solid practical and theoretical understanding of statistics and machine-learning technologies in any one of these Java, Python, R, and/or SAS.
- Experience or an advanced degree in a quantitative or computational field, such as physics, mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, machine learning, or relevant quantitative discipline or equivalent relevant experience..

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Requires one to three (1-3) years of work experience as a data scientist or senior analyst. Independent, highly motivated, fast learner, multi-tasker, team-player

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Spotfire will be a plus but not required.
