Data Scientist/Developer

One of the UK's largest curators of digital data in the social sciences and humanities field, providing valuable resources to researches and policy-makers worldwide, are looking for an enthusiastic and driven data scientist/developer to join their Applications Development and Maintenance team within Technical Services.

Dedicated to delivering and maintaining two of the largest Big Data stores in the UK, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing components of products relating to new and novel forms of data within multiple NoSQL databases. Working amongst experienced data warehousing specialists, you will be encouraged to widen and expand your software development skills in an environment which inspires continuous personal development.

What the Client needs from you:
- Experience with NoSQL databases, tools and techniques
- Experience designing and/or implementing components based on a Service-oriented Architecture
- A statistical or analytical background
- An understanding of Information Security Management standards such as ISO 27001
- The ability to deliver technical information concisely and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
