Data Scientist

This global technology company require a Data Scientist to join their team on a contract basis. The Data Scientist will be part of a global team working with all the latest BI Technologies.

8 month contract initially

West Dublin location

Opportunity to work on a large scale global project

Responsibilities:

. Contribute to predictive/analytical modelling architectures, modelling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies.

. Understand business requirements and be able to lead discussions with the business teams to develop and optimise analytical solutions.

. Ability to conduct research into predictive/analytical modelling issues, practices, and products as required.

. Develop new predictive/analytical modelling methods and/or tools as required.

. Identify, Diagnose and Resolve predictive/analytical model performance issues.

. Monitor predictive/analytical system performance and implement efficiency improvements.

Requirements:

. Experienced data scientist with broad understanding of all components in a large applications and complex data solutions

. Excellent knowledge of data mining/predictive modelling tools such as Vertica, R, SAS, SPSS, etc.

. Strong understanding of predictive/analytical modelling techniques, theories, principles, and practices.

. Specific experience in more than one of: failure prediction, survival analysis, statistical modelling, graphs modelling.
