Data Scientist

Mentmore Recruitment are currently engaged with an advanced analytics and Business Intelligence consultancy based in Brussels & The Netherlands who are seeking a Data Scientist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to crunch data with the objective to build machine learning models and to embed them in applications.

Data Preparation
-

Desk research on what type of models to use
-

Machine learn models in Python, R or Scala
-

You will work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientist and you will be responsible to deliver your piece of the projects.
-

Run discovery analyses in Python, R, SQL or Scala
-

Build management dashboards & insight analyses
-

Act as Data Scientist enthusiast on latest machine learning & AI trends

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

-

University degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering and/or you participated in a specialized program incl. Machine Learning or AI.

Extensive knowledge about machine learning approaches and the variety of models which exist & their applications area (eg, SVM, RNN, Deep learning)
-

Good knowledge about Data Scientist basics including sampling and the various evaluation metrics.

Good in SQL, Python or R
-

Knowledge on the open-source Big Data Ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and/or the IaaS or SaaS Ecosystem (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) considered a plus

Programming skills such as Scala, Java, C++
