Data Scientist - Contract - Germany (Dusseldorf) - 70€-100€ an hour - ASAP Job Position: Data Scientist Location: Germany (Dusseldorf) Start Date: ASAP Type: Contract (12 months) Rate: 70€-100€ an hour Montash have been engaged with a market leading retail company in Western Germany, who are seeking a competent and well rounded Data Scientist during a period of incremental growth for the business. The successful candidate would have experience using complex algorithms to solve business problems. You would be part of a young, highly motivated analytic team helping develop statistical models and analyse large amounts of data. Due to the location of this project, please only apply if you are eligible to work in Germany in a freelance capacity. Required: - Have worked within a Retail / Ecommerce environment (ideally 3+ years) - Experience writing / producing algorithms to define assortment topics - Programming knowledge in R - Clear demonstration of data based decision making skills - Strong presentation skills Preferred: - Mathematics or Physics background - Data modelling experience - Practical experience within Big Data Environments (Hadoop, MySQL, Hive, Spark, Cassandra etc) - Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with stakeholders across all levels - German Speaking (nice to have but not highly necessary) Offered: - Small amount of remote working after an initial period - A challenging, interesting and varied activity - Development opportunities in a globally operating business Please contact me to apply or for further information - or
