JOB TITLE: DATA SCIENTIST
JOB LOCATION: BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT
JOB DESCRIPTION:
12+ years of work experience and 5+ years of professional experience developing large, distributed data warehouses, big data, or Real Time data intensive applications
Highly experienced with Hadoop and AWS environment (Azure and Google Cloud is a plus)
Hands-on experience coding in Java, Scala, Python, R, SQL or other advanced programming languages is required for this role.
Big data modelling work experience with Hadoop, Spark and Zeppelin or Jupyter is required.
Strong experience on applied statistics and data mining techniques (linear regression, logistic regression, text mining, classification, multivariate analysis, decision tree, random forest, K-means, deep neural networks, Bayesian models)
Proficient with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra,
Master in data visualization tools such as bokeh, ggplot, d3.js
Proven work examples of transforming large amounts of data into insightful actions through various techniques that result into exceptional business results
Good ranking in Kaggle competitions or similar is a nice plus.
