Data Analyst/Data Scientist for Search

Working for an organization with the size means having the potential to positively affect the health and well-being of entire communities. Website (client.org) plays a vital role in providing health information and other information about health plan offerings. Data analysis is needed to enable us to provide better search capabilities.
Description

Under the direction of the client.org Search team within the Internet Services Group, the data scientist will analyze usage data on client.org to determine how we can optimize the effectiveness of client.org search. Recommendations may include making changes to the search interface as well as boosting or highlighting specific search results.

Essential Functions:
Analyze client.org usage data as it relates to content findability and search. This includes assessing user feedback that was submitted through call centers and data in WebTrends reports.
Identify usage trends and business problems with regards to finding content on client.org, and determine which problems that have the most value to the organization.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate findings in a way that influences the way that we present search results and display items on the search interface (which includes categorization/facets).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
4+ years' experience with data analysis
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in computer science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and/or math preferred.
Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
