Here at the UK's largest Water and Waste Water Company based in the Thames Valley we are looking for an experienced Data Planning Analyst to come in and assist us working on our Progressive Metering Project. This is a key role that is based in our Reading- Rose Kiln Court Office (which may also move to the Langley-Slough area at a later date)

OVERVIEW

Over the next 15 years our client intends to increase the meter penetration within its network from 30% to over 80%. This is a significant undertaking involving the installation of literally millions of meters. In a water industry first this project will utilise large scale fixed network masts and radio transmitters to provide our operational control centres with live data enabling the business to locate leaks and respond to events faster and more efficiently than ever before.

As a member of the Strategic Planning team within metering you will have the opportunity to set the direction and location of our programme roll out, influence mid/senior level management and to perform detailed analysis of incoming data and programme metrics. You will also have the opportunity to help create the tools used for benefits tracking and help to imbed them across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Facilitate the delivery of the AMP6 Smart metering programme
- Perform root cause analysis of datasets to identify trends and recommendations for strategic improvements
- Active participation in the identification of Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies and Opportunities (RAIDO) and an ability to effectively communicate these to the wider team
- Assist as necessary in the identification of benefit metrics to ensure benefits from each programme/project can be captured tracked and reported.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a similar role working to tight deadlines and managing critical information related to a project. You will need to have significant previous analytics experience including SQL/Sequel server (proven track record of delivering programming solutions) ideally qualified as well as being an expert and fully competent of using GIS for a number of years.

You will be a self-starter and have proven experience of defining performance measurements and targets for the improvement of the project and be fully confident to engage with large volumes of data across a wide variety of systems. You will proactively develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across programme teams to ensure clarification and confidence in outputs, so excellent communication skills are essential.
