OUR CUSTOMER IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED DATA MODELLER WHO CAN USE BEST PRACTICE FOR THEIR FINANCIAL REPORTING PLATFORM BUILT USING MICROSOFT BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY WITH SHAREPOINT NAVIGATION SYSTEM.
YOUR TASKS:
- Ability to understand & translate business needs into data model.
- Optimise & update physical data model.
- Take ownership of the database deliverables, consisting of physical & logical data models.
- Ability to analyse the existing relational enterprise data model & map all its relevant entities & relationships to our dimensional model
- Expertise analysing user path documentation to establish proper grain capable shape of their data needs & performance concerns.
- Liaise on a regular basis with DWH DAL team to monitor, prioritise & implement changes in close cooperation with the IT Lead.
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions & coding practices to ensure consistency.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 7+ years practical experience as a Dimensional Data Modeller using Kimball/Inmon Methodology
- 7+ years working with Datamodelling tools (Power Designer)
- Expertise in DDL & DML using SQL Server TSQL Language
- Expertise in reverse engineering physical data models from databases & SQL Scripts
- Advantage to have SSIS experience
- High quality standards
- Reliable & good communicator
- Fluent in English - Written & Spoken
