Position: Data modeller
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Duration: 6 months+ duration

Job Description:

- Experience of working on data change, quality or migration projects within a banking environment.
- Able to apply data analysis and Datamodelling techniques to establish, modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions
- Strong Datamodelling experience, capable of producing a data model within a single, or across a number of related data silos
- Working knowledge of Banking Industry Data Models - IFW, ISO 20022, FSLDM etc.
- Comprehensive experience in the Information Technology industry with recent experience of client facing Data Architecture development
- A strong academic track record including the achievement of a good honours degree or equivalent
- Experience of working within the consulting industry
- A track record of delivering Data Architectures as part of Datawarehouse projects
- Comfortable liaising with senior client personnel to establish requirements and discuss potential development strategies
- Able to interpret business requirements in terms of data architecture, database technology and data model design
- Excellent communication skills - interviewing, preparation and delivery of presentations and reports
- Interested in and capable of expanding capabilities into all areas of Information Architecture
- Experience of the data warehouse development cycle from user requirements definition through design, development, testing and implementation
- Experience of knowledge of complex integration issues and technologies
- Extensive experience and knowledge of data warehouse design, logical and physical database design and challenges posed by data quality
- Experience of working with industry models for insurance or banking
- Semantic modelling
- Knowledge and understanding of how Big Data is currently impacting the Financial Services sector
- A wide variety of tools and techniques covering the full range of modelling situations (ERD, OO, DFD, data mapping, XML, XSD etc.)
