DATA MODELER/DATA ARCHITECT - LUIK/LIÈGE, BELGIUM

One of our largest technology clients in Belgium have merged and are currently seeking a DATA MODELER/DATA ARCHITECT to join their customer location in Luik/Liège.

It is an incredibly exciting time to join the business where you will be given a LONG TERM ASSIGNMENT. You will be responsible for the design of the different logical models (3rd normalised form for the ODS, DataVault for the DWH and multidimensional for the UDS). You will translate Functional Specifications into DWH model extensions and will be responsible for designing and deploying the overall data architecture strategy of the DWH ecosystem, ensuring reusability, integration and optimization. Next to all this you will also validate the overall technical solutions and work with a Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC).

Requirements:

At least 3 years' experience in Data Modeling, on DWH projects, by using tools such as Power Designer, CA Erwin, IBM Data Architect, etc

Deep knowledge of both Data Vault and Kimball modelling approaches (3FN and Dimensional)

Minimum 2 years' experience in supporting Enterprise Architects with the design of overall data architecture in the DWH eco-systems

Capacity to lead and carry out Modeling and architecture workshops. Diplomacy, initiative and added value are expected.

Autonomy in editing self-explanatory Visio and PowerPoint documents.

Multitasking. Capacity to work on different extensions of the DWH

Knowledge of Data Quality Management and Information Governance

French fluent. Very good level of English. Both, spoken and written.

Knowledge of SAS BI stack is a plus

Experience in Scrum methodology

Experience in Insurance industry is a plus
