Data Modeler (100% - Basel area)

Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in Basel, is looking for a DATA MODELER with hands on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL, as well as extensive background in data modelling and data warehousing.

This is a contracting role planned to start in May until the end of the year.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

During this project you will create a centralized IT system framework to automatically acquire, analyze, and report on global manufacturing data for improved compliance with process and product monitoring.

TASKS:

- Design stable, reliable and effective meta models across multiple different manufacturing data sources
- Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
- Gather user requirements and identify new features

IDEAL PROFILE:

- 5 TO 7 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE working as a DATA MODELER or DATA ARCHITECT with hands on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL plus extensive background in data modelling and data warehousing
- UNDERSTANDING of STAR/SNOWFLAKE SCHEMAS, indexing, AGGREGATE TABLES, dimension tables, constraints, keys, and fact tables required
- TECHNICAL EXPERTISE regarding data models, DATABASE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, DATA MINING and SEGMENTATION TECHNIQUES
- Understand the data requirements for the project and drive the solution based on the information needs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- EII (JBOSS DV/TEIID) EXPERIENCE will be a big asset
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- The German language will be an advantage
