We are urgently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Data Migration Technical lead with excellent knowledge and experience in the leading, coordinating and executing of Major Data Migration projects for large enterprises. The role at hand is a leadership level role that will require someone who is able to mentor, coordinate and manage a team of Database and Migration Engineers working together to complete a number of SAP Systems Data Migration Projects for a Tier 1 Investment Bank.
Our client is one of the World's largest and best renowned IT & Management consultancies, they are present in over 65 countries with over 100 offices and 120,000+ Consultants working across all technologies and disciplines in all markets, industries and disciplines.
Currently they are working closely with one of the World's most prestigious Investment Banks on a number of Infrastructure and Data projects, the person we are currently recruiting for will work onsite at this Tier 1 Investment Banks as a Technical Lead on all Data Migration Projects, mentoring and managing a growing team of engineers as well as getting involved technically in the Migration Execution. The full responsibilities will include: Requirements Gathering Specification Writing Designing Migration Strategy Leading and Mentoring Engineers and Technicians Coordinating cross-functional teams Interfacing with the client and company Advising on best practices and technologies.
The role requires someone with a strong technical acumen of Data Warehouse and Data Migration technologies and processes as well as very importantly previous experience of working in a Team Leader / Technical Project Manager role as the role-holder will be focused more on overall management and leadership than the hands on technical work. The following skillset is required: Good experience of working in a Leadership / Management capacity Excellent knowledge and experience of Data Migration principles and tools Excellent knowledge and experience of Data Warehouse and Database technologies Excellent knowledge and experience of Full Data Migration Project Lifecycle Good Knowledge and experience of SAP Systems, data and application layer Good Knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence tools and best practices Good Knowledge and experience of ETL Tools (Informatica Powercenter preferred)
As well as the above, we require someone with excellent communication skills that will be able to liaise with stakeholders all the way too executive levels, manage their expectations and gather fundamental technical requirements and specifications interfacing as a senior project team member with the developers and engineers.
