Our Reading-based client is looking for an experienced Data Migration GIS Data Analyst to join their fantastic organisation.

You will take ownership of discreet deliverables within the Data Migration Workstream, and support key activities. The data migration activities cover planning, preparation and migration of customer, land, entitlements, agreements, financial and other data from Legacy systems to the new CAP solution. The Data Migration GIS Data Analyst will report to the Data Migration Workstream Lead.

Main responsibilities

The job will involve the following main responsibilities:
Supporting the land data migration project, including undertaking GIS data analysis to support the planning, preparation and migration of land data
Supporting and taking ownership of land data analysis activities, including analysis of existing data to determine data profiles and quality issues, and supporting Delivery Body teams in undertaking cleanse activities of their land data.
Provide input to the development of the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) approach for land data to ensure that the appropriate controls are in place to ensure that all required data is successfully migrated to the new solution.
Supporting the workstream lead in engaging with stakeholders to negotiate the timing and approach to the land data migration so it achieves the balance of meeting policy and business requirements, delivering a robust technical solution while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
Take ownership of key workstream management activities such as the management of risks and issues, and management of the workstream project plan.
Assist in co-ordination and monitoring of all land data activities, including dependencies and activities undertaken by Delivery Bodies outside of the CAP Delivery Programme, to ensure adherence to data migration plans.

Essential criteria
Proven experience of undertaking data analysis roles in the delivery of major transformation programmes into multiple business units within the public sector.
Proven experience of data analysis of geo-spatial data, including profiling and detailed assessments of data to determine data quality issues and adherence to data standards.
Extensive experience of developing data extract scripts, data manipulation scripts and using data analysis tools to analyse extracted data.
Extensive experience in describing complex data issues and their implications in business terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience of successfully implementing geo-spatial data systems.
Proven experience of developing business relationships and dealing successfully with strategic stakeholders, both external and internal;
Proven abilities of working well within a team, and in assisting workstream leads with team management
Experience of supporting delivery of technology-enabled programmes, including experience of data migration, testing and cutover and implementation activities.
Experience of managing large workloads with conflicting demands.
Experience of working in areas of high uncertainty to deliver transformation initiatives;
Proven experience of working across a multiple stakeholder base;
Proven experience of working across different cultures.

Desirable criteria
Experience of supporting cutover and implementation activities to implement multiple IT releases into multiple business units.
Experience of using a wide range of IT and Microsoft packages.
