Data Migration Analyst

Our client is an innovative energy supplier in Belgium, providing energy and
energy related products and services to both households and businesses. We have the ambition to become the number one data-driven energy retailer. To guide us along the path towards this ambition, we are looking for a Data Migration Analyst.

Responsibilities Data migration Analyst:
As a data migration analyst you are part of the project team that is responsible for the data migration from the legacy (AX) landscape to the newly implemented target landscape. Main responsibility of the data migration analyst is to identify, define, collate, and document data mappings and data conversion rules and advise the migration developers on the (technical) migration approach. This is achieved by organizing and coordinating knowledge sessions with subject matter experts and the project team during which the data models of the source systems and target systems are analysed and translated into migration logic, data mapping and conversion rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES Data migration Analyst
* Analyse data models, interpret data and setup data mapping between source to target systems.
* Advise data migration developers on extraction, transformation and load approach.
* Perform tests on migrated data.
* Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
* Setup and execute data quality controls to identify possible data quality issues and propose cleansing solutions.
* Act as a liaison between the business and migration project representatives to support in defining data migration solutions.

Technical skills Data migration Analyst:
* Proven working experience as a data analyst.
* Ability to organize and coordinate sessions to determine data migration mapping and conversion rules.
* Functional knowledge of the utilities retail market (Belgium specific knowledge is preferred) .
* Proven hands-on experience with data migrations is a must.
* Functional expertise regarding data models and data mapping techniques and reporting.
* Knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL) is a must.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Ferranti MECOMS data model is a plus.

Personal skills Data migration Analyst:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in at least English (Dutch is preferred).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate data models and significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
