DATA MANAGEMENT/INFORMATION MANAGEMENT/DIMENSIONAL MODELLING/UNIX SHELL SCRIPTING/ERWIN
My client, a large consulting company, is looking for a Data Management consultant for a 3 month contract opportunity in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing logical and physical data models using industry standard tools (eg ERwin/Power Designer), Experience in Dimensional modelling/ER modelling techniques, Ability to articulate the different data modelling normal forms (1NF, 2NF, 3NF), Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects, Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models, Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments, Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts and Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
