CAD Engineer - Windchill

CLIENT

Leading Aerospace-Defence organisation has a new requirement on a new programme to support the assessment phase, which comprises a number of engineering and support activities.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE IS TO FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DATA IN THE IBOM ACROSS THE LIFE CYCLE, AS PART OF THE IBOM TEAM. THE ROLE WILL BE PART OF A CENTRAL MULTI-FUNCTIONAL TEAM AND NEEDS TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION ALL FUNCTIONAL VIEWPOINTS WHEN CARRYING OUT THE ROLE.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Clear understanding of the Product Lifecycle (incl. different functions roles and needs)
- Understanding of what a Bill of Materials (BoM) is and it's roles through life
- Familiarity with Windchill
- Understanding of information requirements to support Part Modelling within CAD
- Experience in parts requests/creation (desirable)
- Experience in maturity management (incl. part and data element level)
- Experience in multi-disciplined engineering and multi-functional environments
- Understanding of use and implementation of meaningful metrics.
- Good general IT skills - primarily web based application and MS Office.
