DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- The proactive inclusion of a Data Ambassador role for the company - through business partnering with other departments.
- The preparation and maintenance of an up-to-date view of the various existing and new data sources (internal and external), at the right detail level (to effectively facilitate master data management).
- Setting up guidelines on information and database design (including data placement, drafting and maintaining a data classification framework for existing and new applications), in collaboration with internal audit, security and teams.
- The data platform architecture (including data warehouse, big data platform, data pipes, data integrity, etc.) - in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architect and other department.
- Collaboration with other department (s) and proactive contributions to setting up and implementing Data Governance in consultation with internal teams.
- Collaboration with Dev/Ops teams for the operational aspects of data (eg setting up and providing insight into data SLAs).
- The ownership of Master Data Management.
- The (co-) monitoring of the company-wide maturity of Data Governance.
- Proactively contributing and steering in projects, so that the right data-related decisions are taken in function of the Enterprise Architecture Board (longer term context).
- Proactively identifying opportunities to simplify business processes and realise efficiency through effective data management.
