Data Governance and Compliance Analyst Job

A DATA GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE ANALYST is needed for a ONE (1) YEAR LONG TERM CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in St. Louis (Creve Coeur), MS.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Represent IT and collaborate with Commercial, Legal, and other applicable functions to conduct data risk assessments, document data mappings/life cycle, and help build our data governance model and programs. Initial target opportunities include Privacy Data and developing a map of our most important information.
- Develop, document, and implement solutions addressing regulatory, policy and privacy concerns to minimize business impact which would include:
- Data mapping
- Data life cycle management
- Regulatory compliance
- Ensure that business units, functional teams and third parties follow the organization's data governance program, meet data-policy requirements and address data-compliance concerns by facilitating and mediating communication and understanding of these topics.
- Proactively identify and then collaborate with business units and functional teams to provide direction or develop action plans for identified data-compliance risks.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates' degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, computer science or a related discipline is required.
- Skills involving data mapping documentation to include data flows, data scrubbing, reports, data
- Experience to develop and perform data compliance risk assessments and audits, investigation and resolution of data compliance incidents.
- It is preferred that the candidate be a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or have equivalent experience.
- Legal Experience
- Three to five years of experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management or compliance.
- Experience in auditing frameworks and international standards, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, BS 10012, SAS 70, COBIT and ITIL.
- Technical and Business Experience
- Familiarity or experience with cloud computing, online services, Web applications and enterprise applications.
- Ability to understand business process flows and to provide recommendations for operationalizing compliance requirements.
- Risk Management and applicable controls to meet legal and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice by balancing business needs with data-management risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work well with a diverse client base.
- Knowledge of the data management aspects of the product development life cycle, data handling and asset classification.
- Possess an understanding of architectural direction for complex data management efforts.
